Google Maps Tracker
See your Google Maps ranking on every street around you.
Google Maps Tracker is a local rank tracker. It searches Google Maps from 37 places around your location and colours each place by your spot. Find the streets where competitors show up before you, then see each week if your changes pay off.

Competition
See the map through your competitor's eyes
Every Premium location starts with the two nearest businesses in its main category as competitors. Change them for the businesses you really lose customers to.
Below every map, You vs competitors puts you side by side: average spot, best spot, top 3 and Google rating. Switch the map to a competitor and every place shows their spot instead, with their pin next to yours. Every other business on the map is listed below it.

How it works
How a local rank tracker sees what your customers see
Google Maps takes into account where the customer is when they search. A search at your door and a search 4 km away can give a different top 3. One check from your own address says little.
Google Maps Tracker lays a honeycomb of 37 places over the map, 2 km apart, up to 6 km from your location. From every place it runs the same search and records your spot, from 1 to 20. Places in the sea or a lake are skipped. Experts call this a geo-grid: a grid of points on the map, each one its own search.
- Green 1-3: customers see you in the top 3
- Yellow 4-10: on the list, below others
- Orange 11-20: far down the list
- Red 20+: not in the top 20 there
- Grey: Google gave no answer at that place

On Premium, every place on the map opens the full list of businesses Google Maps shows there, in order: spot, name, street, star rating and number of reviews. Your own row and your two competitors are marked.
Premium maps up to 5 searches per location, each with its own map, and makes a fresh map of every search every week. You choose the searches in Manage searches, with suggestions for your category to start from.
- Your business name: do people who know you find you?
- Your main category, such as “bakery”
- Up to 3 searches you choose yourself
- A new map every week, so you see what each change did

Frequently asked questions
What is a Google Maps rank tracker?
A Google Maps rank tracker checks your spot in Google Maps for a search, the way customers see it. Google Maps Tracker does this from 37 places around your location, so you see your ranking street by street instead of from one spot.
Why is my Google Maps ranking different on every street?
Google Maps takes the searcher's location into account, so the list can change from street to street. That is why the map checks your spot from every place up to 6 km away.
How often does the local rank tracker update?
Premium makes a new map of every search every week, automatically. A new search usually gets its first map right away.
Is there a free Google Maps rank tracker?
Yes. Your free report includes one full map of your category, 37 places, with your two nearest competitors. Weekly maps of all your searches come with Premium.
Can I see where my competitors rank on the map?

How much does Google Maps Tracker cost?
Google Maps Tracker is part of Premium: €19.95 per location per month, or €199 per location per year (save 17%). Prices excl. VAT, cancel any time. Listings Monitor, Reviews Monitor and the other Premium tools come with it.
